Consultant Psychiatrist
Dr. Muhammad Hannan Malik is a highly experienced Consultant Psychiatrist, holding an MBBS degree from Allama Iqbal Medical College (2008) and an MCPS in Psychiatry (2022). With over 14 years of clinical and academic experience across Pakistan and Saudi Arabia, he has worked extensively in both inpatient and outpatient psychiatric care. Dr. Hannan’s professional journey includes rigorous residency training at the Al-Amal Mental Health Complex in Jeddah, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, where he managed substance-induced psychiatric disorders. He further honed his expertise through rotations in Neurology, Psychology, and General Medicine under distinguished supervisors in leading institutions such as Jinnah Hospital and Shaikh Zayed Hospital Lahore.
Currently serving at Shaikh Zayed Hospital Lahore, Dr. Hannan leads psychiatric consultations, manages clinical rotations, and supervises teaching programs for both FY1 doctors and MBBS students. His deep involvement in mental health extends beyond clinical practice; he is a passionate advocate for community-based psychiatric care. Through his work with the MIND Organization, he has led several outreach initiatives across underserved regions like Hafizabad and Pakpattan, delivering free consultations and medications to patients who otherwise lack access to mental health services.
Dr. Hannan regularly contributes to national and international psychiatric conferences and has been instrumental in organizing seminars on psychiatric emergencies and schizophrenia awareness. With a strong foundation in behavioral science education, community psychiatry, and research-based practice, he is deeply committed to advancing mental health awareness, early intervention strategies, and destigmatizing psychiatric conditions in Pakistan.
