Dr. Hajra Tariq is a compassionate and accomplished psychiatrist devoted to enhancing mental health and well-being in diverse patient populations. A graduate of Allama Iqbal Medical College, she holds an MBBS degree and advanced certifications, including MRCPsych Papers A and B, reflecting her commitment to continuous professional growth.

Dr. Hajra has garnered significant experience during her tenure as a registrar and postgraduate trainee at the Psychiatry Department of Services Hospital, Lahore. Here, she managed a 60-bedded inpatient facility catering to adult males and females, geriatric patients, adolescents, children, and individuals with substance use disorders. Her responsibilities included conducting detailed psychiatric assessments, formulating individualized treatment plans, prescribing and monitoring psychotropic medications, and providing psychotherapy. She also demonstrated exceptional crisis management skills, handling emergencies such as suicide risk assessments and ensuring patient safety. Additionally, she played a critical role in outpatient care, delivering therapeutic interventions, managing long-term treatment plans, and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams for holistic patient care.

Dr. Hajra is proficient in advanced therapeutic modalities, including administering electroconvulsive therapy for treatment-resistant conditions such as refractory schizophrenia and severe bipolar depression. Her leadership capabilities are evident in her role as a registrar, where she managed rosters, coordinated inpatient and outpatient services, and addressed administrative responsibilities efficiently.
